In a statement, the company guarantees, however, that “access to platforms for train departures and arrivals at the station will always be guaranteed”.
The intervention aims to “improve pedestrian access to the platforms”.
The underpass serves as access to the railway platforms and also for safe crossing of the Cascais Line in the Algés area.
The note also states that the work will be developed in phases.
In the first phase, repairs will be made to the access ramp to lines 2/3 (between 5am on Monday and 6pm on March 22nd) and the anti-slip painting of the pavement (between 9am on March 23rd and 05:00 on March 25th).
In a second phase, the access ramp to lines 1/3 will be repaired (between 5:00 am on April 1st and 6:00 pm on April 5th) and the floor will be painted anti-slip (between 9:00 am: 00 on April 6th and 05:00 on April 8th).
