According to the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Beiras and Serra da Estrela, sections 11 (Piornos – Torre), number 12 (Torre – Torre), number 13 (Torre - Lagoa Comprida) and section 9 ( Piornos – Manteigas), in the district of Guarda are all closed.


Access began to be closed early Monday evening.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga due to forecast snowfall above 600/800 meters, with accumulation above 800/1000 meters between 09:00 today and 09:00 on Wednesday.
