In a statement, the municipality of the district of Faro states that “municipal teams are working actively” in order to solve a problem dating back more than three decades that “has affected the lives of residents” in that location.
According to the municipality, the work is in its final phase and is just waiting for the pumping station to be connected to the electricity grid before it can start operating.
The homes in the town of Carrascalinho will be connected to the Aljezur Waste Water Treatment Station (WWTP), through the pumping station and respective outfalls, “putting an end to a situation that has been going on for decades”.
