In this 3rd edition, the event - which reveals the various historical layers of the capital - is organised by the Museu de Lisboa - Teatro Romano, and has planned more than a hundred visits, revealing remains ranging from Iron Age structures in the Castelo de São Jorge to the old Milling Factory of the Military Maintenance.
Admission to the reserves and conservation laboratory of the National Centre for Nautical and Underwater Archaeology are also on the programme of this initiative which proposes a journey through time, from Prehistory to almost the present day, including sites that present archaeological remains from the Roman and medieval era.
Private homes, car parks, shops, hotels and museums are other spaces included in the tour routes, which can be booked by contacting openhousearqueologia@museudelisboa.pt
