Some 700 freight transport operators were inspected and six indictments were filed during the nationwide operation, which began on Wednesday and ended at around 8pm last night.
The tonne of meat seized in the Algarve was reportedly confiscated for being transported several degrees above the legally-required temperature of minus 15 degrees; 50 kilos of tuna were also seized for violating rules.

Wow, of all the things to focus on during these times, and you choose this?!!?!?
Great job, our courageous and valiant keepers of the peace. Now, if only it were donuts (or maybe pastel de nata) - we likely would never have heard of the police operation. Well, except for perhaps the seamstresses who had to increase the inseam of all the forces trousers.
Next time try focusing on the criminal diversion of our water resources, or maybe even corruption in the political and law enforcement communities! But then I suppose we would no longer have politicians or law enforcement officers. Hmmm.... That may not be a bad idea!

Also at the beach pointless inspections by APA/ARH and maritime police. Reminding beach visitors to wear facemasks on the beach (walkways). Pestering underpaid lifeguards that make 10hr workdays to wear facemasks during service. Non compliance: 50-100€ for the bathers, 500-1000€ for the lifeguard. Squeeze Joe average, break his mind. Force vaccines C19, C20, C21, C22, C23, C24, ... Show guilt and fear.
Strengthening the powers that rule.
