According to forecasts, the sea disturbance "will be characterised by a swell from the northwest quadrant, with a significant height of five meters and a maximum height that could reach eight meters, with an average period to vary between 15 and 20 seconds.
Thus, the Navy and the National Maritime Authority "alert the entire maritime community and the population in general for the care to be taken both in preparing to go to sea, as when they are at sea or in coastal areas.
Among the recommendations, is the strengthening of moorings and keeping a close watch on moored and anchored boats, avoid walks by the sea or in areas exposed to sea disturbance, like cliffs, beaches, among others.
Do not practice recreational fishing, especially near the cliffs and cliff areas often hit by waves, always bear in mind that under these conditions the sea can easily reach areas that appear safe, they warn.
