"In May they will cancel 200 flights, due to the lack of pilots and cabin crew. This is worrying", said Tiago Faria Lopes, in statements to TVI. "It's going to be chaos. TAP has already hired external companies to make the flights because it doesn't have the capacity", he concluded.

The SPAC president had already said that it is necessary to hire at least 80 pilots at TAP, indicating that since January 20 pilots have left the air carrier.

According to the president of the SPAC, "unfortunately" in the summer there will probably be flight delays and chaos at the airport, because there is still no response capacity, in an airport that is "obsolete".
