In a statement, the AMN recalls that at this time of year the sea presents a high risk due to the effects of sea unrest.

Also, most beaches are not monitored at this time of year, meaning that there are no lifeguards on beaches.

Therefore, warns the AMN, “the response to a relief situation may be delayed, so the population must behave appropriately and responsibly, not putting themselves in risky situations”.

“If you witness a dangerous situation in the water, do not enter and ask for help via 112”.

The IPMA predicts a rise in temperature, which could reach 30 degrees Celsius today in Setúbal and on Saturday in some regions of mainland Portugal. On Sunday, the predicted maximum is 29º in Beja.
