Lisbon now has two months to inform the community executive of the due complementation of the aforementioned coordinators with "the necessary powers and competencies to carry out their functions, including the imposition of sanctions in case of non-compliance", as provided for in the Digital Services Regulation (DSR).
According to a statement from the Commission, "fully qualified digital services coordinators in each Member State are essential for the exercise of the new rights created under the DSR, in particular, to ensure that users can lodge complaints in their place of residence against platforms, grant trustworthy flagger status and enable investigators".
Fantastic!!! a EU directive supporting the debacle of the AIMA.
I wish to make a complaint and proceed accordingly with the confirmation that portugal is breaking EU law on very many levels…
Now if I could just find a link to the web site or a phone number or an address.. maybe carrying pidgins are the new AIMA mode of connection?? So perhaps a roost GPS code..
To make a complaint :):( which I’m sure will be dealt with in an rapid and expedient time frame..:):):):)

Good news. In January, despite having all the documents and a letter of authorisation the junta torres de Bela Vista refused to register my residency blaming the computer system. I explained they were breaching GDPR and faced a fine and potential criminal law. Eventually I managed to report the problem to the loures data authorities. After many excuses such as the system was locked until after the elections, they issued my residency in February 2024.

First what an obtuse article. Sorry I speak English, the author does not.
Secondly, after waiting five months for my Visa, I walked into AIMA in Leiria and
obtained it. No phone or email service but they are in the office.

As Portuguese I am aware how careless this nation is, thanks God there is an EU.

AIMA has very funny answer of slower the process of residency solution -“Official stamp has not made yet.” And very rude while visited to their office for any assistance.
