According to ECO, Qatar Airways has resumed direct flights between Humberto Delgado airport in Lisbon and Doha, with six direct weekly connections, ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal has announced.

The resumption of the connection comes after the suspension registered during the pandemic, with Qatar joining the group of four new airlines in Lisbon this year, namely the Turkish low-cost Pegasus, Egyptair, and Korean Air.

In a statement, ANA said that the resumption of direct flights between Doha and Lisbon expands travel options to and from Qatar, as well as to the entire Persian Gulf, increasing "connectivity to various destinations" in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific region.

"This return makes Qatar Airways the third Gulf airline to operate in Lisbon (joining Emirates and Etihad), and expands the international connectivity of Lisbon airport," the statement said.

Quoted in the statement, Francisco Pita, chief commercial officer of ANA|Vinci Airports, says that the return of Qatar Airways reinforces the connectivity of Lisbon airport.
