After winning the Austrian Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia moved up to the top of the MotoGP riders' standings.

Miguel Oliveira finished 12th overall. Jorge Martín began in pole position, but the Italian Ducati rider passed him right out and never gave up the advantage. Bagnaia, Martín, and Bastianini rounded out the podium in the Austrian GP.

Miguel Oliveira, on the other hand, began the race in 13th place but dropped to 18th after losing many spots. After that, the Portuguese Aprilia rider made up ground and moved up to 11th position, but Pol Espargaró passed him in the closing stages of the race.

With 55 points, Miguel Oliveira is still in 13th place in the rankings, behind Bagnaia.
