The Azorean executive justifies the “adjustment of the maximum public sale price” of fuels with “recent variations in the international market in reference prices for petroleum and energy products”.
Over three months, the price of diesel in the Azores rose by 21.4 cents per litre, while gasoline, which had increased by 9.8 cents in the previous two months, has now registered a slight decrease.
In November, diesel will cost 1,568 euros per litre in the Azores, 2.9 cents more than in October.
Despite falling 2.3 cents compared to the previous month, petrol remains more expensive, with a price of 1.61 euros per litre.
The maximum prices of petroleum and energy products in the Azores are "changed on the 1st of each month and in amounts equivalent to the variation in the value of the monthly Europe Price (PE).
In March, the Azorean executive increased the Tax on Petroleum and Energy Products (ISP) rate by 10 cents, justifying the decision with “a tendency towards normalization of fuel prices on the world market, to values similar to those prior to the geopolitical crisis caused for the war in Ukraine.”
