According to Jornal de Notícias, from January to March, ERS received 21,291 complaints, compliments and comments, of which 15,483 (72.72%) were complaints from units in the public, private and social sectors. The public sector received most of the complaints, a total of 8,717 (56.3%), with 6,471 (41.8%) being directed to the private sector.
In the public sector, the main reason for complaints (16%) is related to problems related to focusing on the user, while in private hospitals, financial issues prevail (17.5%). However, in private hospitals without hospitalisation, administrative procedures are the reason for most complaints (19.4%).
